Bees in Syria and More

As I prepare to blog away at the political rhetoric surrounding the “decision” on a limited missle attack against the Syrian government, I stop for a sec and smell the roses which leads to honeybees and their world which until recently was unknown to me. But I’ve made make up for lost time with the Honeybee Lessons Page—some facts, but mostly photos on a vitally important insect. And honeybees thrive in Syria, an ancient farmland where too many people and bees are dying.

Let’s start with the above photo taken yesterday in my side yard where a honeybee beats its wings an incredible 11,400 times per minute, according to a variety of experts. Who’s counting?
