Boulder Faces

Boulders can take on the facial features of humans, imagination permitting. The internet is full of famous rock formations that resemble a human face. Here in California there is a boulder (see photo above) that looks like it came from Stonehenge—note the mouth, nose and ear. I live near this giant head and when I visit, I can’t help but see a face that’s had a rough night and why not, the relentless pounding of the surf can drive a person crazy.

There is a mental condition for those quick to assign human features to inanimate objects and, I say, have at it. The world will be a bit brighter if we let our creative instincts rule more of our lives.
