
Last week I blogged on how taking a photo of a single falling leaf presents itself as a photo-shop moment even if it isn’t. I’ll add to the list a “diving pelican,” as noted above. The pelican goes beak first but not after gliding horizontally for a few seconds as if it were leisure time before suddenly shooting straight down and disappearing into the ocean. Camera focus is difficult going from slow to fast in a second. And the end result defies human logic, consequently, it looks like a photo-shopped moment when, in this case, it wasn’t.
