We are long time dog owners who know all too well the challenges of raising a puppy. At this stage in our lives, we didn’t want a puppy and we knew why. So, we got a puppy. Does not compute!
Here is Molly, age seven months or so, who went from a pound to a foster home to ours. She is probably a golden retriever/border collie mix. She snared a leather glove and one right slipper during her first week and our wood dining table is now under siege.
She is learning to play with our older dog who outweighs her by 65 pounds. We know what’s coming. One day she’ll be standing on the dining table eating a Christmas ham. The year ahead will be full of young dog surprises.
