Our dogs make the most out of walking on a path–they stick to the borders! Yes, they don’t actually walk on the path, but rather stay on the concrete edges like tightrope walkers, as shown in this photo taken by Anne. The dogs do this every time. If someone is walking towards us, we have to move to the side to avoid a collision. In the city Teddy (right) walks on the edge of the sidewalk without fail. Does anyone know why the dogs have this walking habit?
It may be that the smoothness of the cement is soothing to them in relation to relative roughness of the path itself. My dog has a similar habit
