Abandoned Eggs?

What look like abandoned insect eggs have been resting neatly on a leaf for the past 24 hours. If I let nature take its course, will these eggs, stacked like billiard balls, ultimately devour all the leaves in my yard? For now. it’s a wait and see game. Please send me a better explanation.
