Everyone took a left to a wine tasting event yesterday while I went right on a road that was definitely less traveled. I didn’t see another vehicle for 20 minutes in an area known as the Sacramento Delta. But I did see herons and egrets stalking prey in the marsh that runs along the endless fields of grapes. Followed a great blue heron for a while in my car, snapping a few shots before it sailed away. Ten minutes later I was back in Sacramento traffic.
