On our daily walk to the beach, Leo and I pass a California Tree Poppy but we never stop. This tree with oversized flowers and petals that look like paper is poisonous to dogs. The tree grows to a height of six to eight feet and fortunately, Leo stays away from it—-maybe it has an odor that dogs don’t like.
