My What Big Teeth You Have!

I sometimes forget that Leo walks like a wolf and his teeth are razor sharp. So, even though he loves to meet other dogs, the owners of the other dogs, unless they know Leo, have every right to be cautious. And the same goes for me—be cautious at first sight. I’ll break the ice by announcing that Leo is very friendly. If the owner says likewise, the the love fest is on! But about half the time the response might be he’s shy, or he’s still a puppy, or even, it’s not my dog. In these cases, we keep going.

For the past six years Leo, who is neutered, hasn’t barked, or growled at another dog.
