Kelp

Typically kelp rolls in with the ocean tides where it is bundled up with other seaweed and deposited on the beach until high tides return it to the sea, or it is removed by human workers. Yesterday, was the first time I’ve seen one piece of kelp stretched out on the beach by itself.

Kelp can reach a length of 150 feet.
