The morning fog at Carmel River State Beach acts as a dramatic, short-lived light filter. In about ten minutes a glare took over, flattening the sand and graying the ocean waters.
Inland temps were over 100 yesterday but at Carmel State Beach it was a cool 50- something thanks to the dynamics of fog. Visibility was poor for beach goers, if there were any in the morning.
