The sky over Sacramento was dotted with rain clouds yesterday that brought snow to the nearby Sierras but barely a sprinkle to the city. The drought continues with no rain forecasted in the coming days for Sacramento.
Bring in the clouds for drama and fantasy! I took these shots one year ago from Scenic Road, Carmel and they remain some of my favorite of December weather here: rain, some sun , lots of clouds and a rainbow.
Sacramento is a flat city, halfway between the Sierra Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, that often features magnificent cloud formations. Here clouds fight with a palm tree to be the center of attention.
I went out looking for some fall color and, instead, spotted a giant tire tread in the snow…I mean, the sky.
