The western hillside of Mission Trail which ends at the historic Carmel Mission is home to a forest of nasturtiums. Here are a few examples.

Nasturtium Colors…
I’ve been harvesting nasturtium seeds for over ten years, most ending up with orange blooms. But this batch planted last Fall in the side yard produced tiger lily like colors. This season I will make sure to keep these seed pods separate from the orange group.

Nasturtium Comeback
We’re finally getting nasturtiums to spread again after three years of gopher attacks. I haven’t seen the battlefield lately with mounds of dirt and dead vines. Too soon to declare victory.
