We were walking the dogs along the coast yesterday at sunset when Anne took this cell phone shot of their shadows (and mine) on a curved driveway wall.
Every house has shadows. In our house we literally live with shadows throughout the day. They bring peace and calm, although I suppose that depends on the beholder. Old brick and skylights help. This is the shower.
We have an iron tulip in our backyard garden that’s held up various plants over the years. I leaned it against our house the other day when I noticed a very distinct shadow belonging, of course, to the tulip–I almost couldn’t tell which one was the shadow. Old age?
