Weekly Photo Challenge: Twist
There are two twists in this photo. The obvious one is the gnarled roots and branches of the tree. The second is that the frame of reference is counter to our expected visual experience–we look up, almost underneath a tree that doesn’t belong where it is, based on all the times of looking at trees.
