In the middle of winter my bees are buzzing around outside searching for water and limited food sources. Soon they will be living off of the “honey” they’ve made. Took the top off the hive yesterday to capture a shot of them working on new honeycombs attached to wood frames that collectively are called a “super.” I was about a foot away when I took this shot. one bee landed gently on my arm, but otherwise they left me alone. Photo tip of the day: I wore a protective suit.
