Artichoke fields, Castroville, at 8:05 p.m. last night. Castroville (California) calls itself the “Artichoke Center of the World” and hosts an annual artichoke festival–this year it’s May 31 and June 1. Marilyn Monroe was the Artichoke Queen of 1947.
