In photography there is skill and there is luck. I had plenty of the shamrock on Memorial Day, not so much as to my position—stuck in a traffic jam in Castroville, California—but more to the photo of the sun setting on some high-tension wires. My window was rolled down. The camera, a Nikon D 5100, 200 mm lens, was set on sports mode. I had a remote push button connected to the shutter. I was going 5 mph with the camera resting on the door frame. I pushed the button without looking. Today I downloaded the results.
