To me “fray” means ” both worn out” and a ” battle,” so I chose of a photo I took of an aging military ammo depot a Fort Cronkhite near the Golden Gate Bridge. I shot through corroded metal–the red in the holes is graffiti on a far wall. Took this several years ago and it remains a favorite photo of mine.
