After bemoaning how few monarch butterflies I’ve seen this year, they showed in large numbers on my street this week.
I’ve read they populate the Monterey area in October and November and, in fact, the city of Pacific Grove supposedly has 45,000 monarchs. Who counts them? Is the tally accurate. Hey, I have four in one of my photos?
