Weekly Photo Challenge: Achievement

Showing “achievement” in a single photo isn’t easy. The two photos that first came to mind were a college graduation shot I took in 2010 and my kids after they finished a fun run last year. But true personal achievement this year was the first batch of honey that Anne and I harvested from our backyard bees. The slow drip of honey through a strainer is a far cry from running, but real work went into this moment, including two bee stings. We’re learning and enjoying the taste of honey and our thriving honey bees.
