Weekly Photo Challenge: Depth

A whale’s tale is my choice for depth.  I was standing on a roadside when I took this shot–that’s Point Lobos in the background. What you can’t see is the depth–I wonder how close this giant gray whale gets to the ocean floor when fully extended? And, yes, this whale is extremely close to shore.

      Agreed. To be able to walk down a road and see whales, dolphins, sea lions and otters is very special. But we need rain and the ocean waters are too warm for this time of year–our oceans are in stress.
