Thursday Poetry:A Prayer of Indifference

He prays for the gentle creep of numbness

To protect him

From horrors and injustices,

That he age

Unaware of the hell

Endured by others,

For he will do no harm

From the comfort of his room.

He is the monster of indifference,

The enabler

Of hate.
