Yesterday I ran into three quail in the driveway–they walked away quickly into a hedge When I reached the street I thought I saw a very large quail at the corner–turned out to be a ring necked pigeon–it chose to fly away.
Of course, there is the blue jay that squawks at me when I go into the backyard during its bath time. I often look up to see a “V” of Canadian Geese flying by. Crows and sea gulls are the most commonly heard birds in these parts aside from quails in the morning.
Are there more birds around that usual, or am I just paying more attention?
