The steeply sloped Carmel River State Beach features a rough surf that sometimes is deadly. This week I saw a log roll up and down the beach, powered by incoming waves.
Reminded me of the day I tried to land my kayak on this beach–I was rolled as well. Thankfully, Anne was there to provide a lifeline.
