Gone Girl Was Here

The 2014 movie, Gone Girl, was filmed, in part, at the Giant City Lodge, located in the middle of an Illinois state park. Earlier this month I entered the lodge for the first time in search of ice tea after hiking in high humidity. The place was a movie set waiting to happen I proclaimed until my sister said it had already been used by Hollywood. I liked the lighting–the above shot is of stairs leading to the second floor. I can see drama around the corner.  And the ice tea was great..and only a $1.
