The Sacramento Zoo and its bird exhibit is a minute’s walk from this public pond where I spotted a green heron hunting for fish. Is the zoo missing a green heron? If not, this bird, with the coloring of something you might see in the tropics, would be a good addition, although I’m opposed to caging birds.
