A Man and His Dog

Last summer the rock in this photo was covered by sand. But now after a season of heavy rain and high tides, the rock serves as a pathway to the ocean. Here a man is training his German Shepherd to fetch a piece of driftwood and to jump in the surf.

Neither of our two dogs retrieve. Molly herds and Teddy socializes–this works for us.
