Here is shot of Teddy deep in thought at the top of the stairs. She is probably sad that dinner time is still hours away. However, each day at 4:45 p.m., she nudges me with her snout. In short, she is telling me it is dinner time. Yesterday, was the first day of daylight savings time–the clocks had been pushed one hour ahead. So, in real time it was 3:45 p.m. when Teddy began her nudging routine with the clock showing 4:45 p.m.–I am confident Teddy can’t read a clock. But why was her dinner routine not upended by moving the clocks ahead one hour?

One possibility is that whenever I’m in the house in the late afternoon, Teddy thinks it is dinner time. But, honestly, she waits until 4:45 p.m. to work on me. And it works.

Thanks. She is a great dog, ready to be anyone’s friend, although those with treats are preferred.
