Wild Anise!

On a walk yesterday near our house, we discovered wild anise growing about ten feet from historic Highway One. We confirmed its black licorice taste. This amazing herb is used to flavor food and liquors as well as to treat digestive and sleep problems. And to think it is growing wild near a highway. Regardless, the dogs were more interested in the squirrels than in the herb.
