One day in June each year in Carmel, the public has an opportunity to tour one of the most exclusive homes in America: the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Walker House. I’ve never been inside, although I often walk past it. And each time I do, I see sea gulls looking as if they own the place. In particular, they enjoy the sea nymph statue on the patio that juts out as if it is the prow of ship. They also leave their calling cards.
Houses with the best ocean views are perches for the gulls. Such is the exclusivity they enjoy along the Carmel coast.
