The Forgotten Onion

When I grocery shop, there is always a red onion in the cart. Love ’em. And this week, I forgot one, even though it was in the house, merely inches from where I prep food each day. The excuse is that it was in a bowl under three avocados. That’s not much of an excuse, given the extensive green shoots this red one was sporting. Ah, it was an organic onion, still firm and ready for use. Today, I promise.
