Ladybug in Sports Mode

Had to use sports mode on the camera to capture this ladybug “running” along a path.
Ladybugs have special feet that allow them to cling to any surface and even walk under water.

I’ve seen ladybugs fly, crawl and be still, but yesterday I saw one scamper. This bug moved so quickly I had to use “sports mode” on my camera and even at that I missed the shot. The issue here is that I got down on my hands and knees in the dirt to get closer to this speeding insect. The ladybug made me laugh at myself.

We pruned some trees this week and found dozens of ladybugs on the leaves, so we transferred the bugs to our roses. FYI: no aphids this year thanks to the amazing ladybugs.
