Bath Time


After thinking about it, the towhee goes all in.

I took a few minutes yesterday to watch a California Towhee take a bath in our front yard. Actually there were two towhees vying for the bath, or maybe it was some kind of mating ritual. They each would fly straight up about a foot apart, stop around four feet from the ground and return to the ground and then repeat the routine. I ran to get a camera. When I came back there was only one bird, as shown above.
