Four senior german shepherds met the public yesterday in a Carmel shopping center parking lot as part of an effort to find a permanent loving home for german shepherds without one. The Thulani Senior German Shepherd Rescue is a nonprofit that saves homeless dogs and pays for the medical care of each adopted dog for the remainder of its life. These dogs are usually ten years of age or older. Phoebe, for example, had a 1.2 pound bladder stone removed two weeks ago, a surgery covered by Thulani.
