The solar torch light in the backyard has been “burned out” for several years, but when the sun hits it, the light glows.

Another light that glows tragically, is that from forest fires that are devastating much of our state. Lately the smell of smoke is a daily occurrence. This is the third consecutive year of high-acreage burns in California, fires that started from man-made causes. All the while the sun shines on, hotter than I can ever remember.
