Carmel Honey Bees

Yesterday, on a walk, I spotted thousands of honey bees crammed into honeycombs hanging from a bare branched tree. The only bee hives that I’ve seen here over the past six years have been my own. Now, there is one a 1,000 feet away. I’m sure there are more that are out of sight. This new one was about ten feet off a road, a block from the Pacific Ocean without a wind break. I hope they can survive the current stormy weather. Bees are resourceful and will move if the queen’s safety is compromised.
