A Contrast in Transportation


The landscape of Sacramento streets have long included “beaters,” cars of questionable reliability Now that transportation look has new appeal with the advent of Jump Bike racks positioned throughout the city. These candy-red bikes (and scooters), part of the Uber empire, have electric motor assist power that tops out at 15 mph. Riders rent them with an app at a cost of about $4 per hour to get around areas surrounding downtown Sacramento. Unfortunately, some riders leave these bikes in the middle of sidewalks where they are both an obstacle and an eyesore.
