Our outside Covid-19 life is confined to dog walks, a once-per week foray for groceries(dog food included) and feeding wild rabbits each day in our front yard. There are at least three rabbits feasting on Kenilworth ivy that we leave on an oak stump. The rabbit in the photo is the least camera shy–took this shot yesterday with a telephoto lens, about 15 feet away.
Our world has clearly narrowed. I read thoughtful books balanced by watching fantasies like Outlander. Our dogs enjoy the extra time we spend with them. And there is great comfort in watching rabbits wait patiently for a meal at the oak stump while birds splash nearby in a bath area that we’ve set up for them. We keep in touch with loved ones through texting and Zoom. We will get through this.
