I was driving on a country road about 12 miles south of Sacramento yesterday when I pulled off to the side to take this photo. The road was going downhill, tilting left towards the river. I noticed skid marks on the incline side. This area is a favorite for motorcyclists with its scenery, waterfront bars, smooth pavement and tricky road undulations. I haven’t ridden a motorcycle in 40 years and I’ll keep it that way, although I believe motorcycle skills make you a better driver in four wheel vehicles, save for lane splitting.
