Snowy Plover Reprieve


A snowy plover burrows in the sand to nest, often selecting a portion of a beach that may be overrun with people on sunny days. The pandemic has led to the closure of some beaches for a few weeks, a short reprieve for this tiny bird considered to be a threatened species due to its nesting habitat.
