A yellow swimming fin sat atop the wood railing overlooking Carmel-by-the-Sea beach yesterday. People lose stuff at the beach on a regular basis, things like eye glasses, sandals, sand toys and towels. Some items are left on the railings to be claimed by the owners, or someone in need.
Something else that has been lost is tourism as the beach is restricted to “exercise only”. As it is there hasn’t been much sun this week, but the weekend should be brighter and along with that, more people will come, hopefully with their masks and maybe with their fins as well.
