On a bright, blue sky day this week, I hoped to take photos of quaking aspens with their yellow leaves quivering like gold. Although I took dozens of photos on a hike through the woods, my favorite shot was clicked from a driveway where I had parked. This capture worked because I focused on a small area where the leaves truly stood out like holiday lights strung on a tree versus a stand of aspens in the forest where the leaves were lost in the crowd.
