Nasturtium pods are everywhere. They turn brown when dried and can be put in the soil to grow new nasturtiums or put in a coffee grinder to make pepper.
Despite drought, deer and gophers, our nasturtiums have done well as evidenced by the thousands of pods in our yard. Ok, I didn’t count them, but they are all over the place. Within the next few days I will collect the pods, dry them and bury them in soil in early October to ensure there will be even more nasturtiums by year’s end for all to enjoy.
