
I think it’s healthy that the older I get, the less I think about the past. Okay, in some cases I’ve completely forgotten about what happened during the last 76 years. Of course, I remember world stuff like war, tragedies and discoveries. But I haven’t keep close track on long ago times that were painful, or joyful. If you were to ask me, for example, what was 1967 like, I could go on for hours. But without the question prompt, I don ‘t consciously think about long ago details. I believe thoughts are stored in the brain for possible use later, but they usually don’t escape unless I let them out. Fingers crossed.
And there is the X-factor. The present day is filled with so much bad news that I don’t have time for anything else.
