Leo usually pulls me to Carmel Beach, but yesterday he put his paws down—the River Beach or nothing! These beaches are a half-mile apart, so no big deal. When we arrived, about 50 Canadian geese were stretched along the sand. I thought they were about to take off. After 15 minutes they remained in position. We left, not knowing anymore than we did at first arrival. Maybe we’ll know more tomorrow.
