Saving One Honey Bee

I have watering stations throughout my backyard to keep my honey bees hydrated. Yesterday one of the bees overshot the mark and landed in the middle of a bird bath. Drowning is a leading cause of death among my bees. I scooped him up with a spoon and placed him on the edge where he should have landed. He beat his wings until he was dry, then circled around and landed in a geranium bloom. Life goes on.
