A Place to Live?

This building speaks for itself and not in a good way (Photo taken last night in Sacramento). I wonder what you get “by appointment”? I’ll pass.

But I am reminded of the time I lived in a garage in New Jersey. The bathroom was in the main house where a family of five lived. The nights passed slowly–too much time to think about how I could change my situation. There were no cell phones back then and no telephone in the garage. I simply disappeared from the outside world when I went inside. Scary to think that the building in this photo might have been a housing upgrade for me.
