The night sky was dark and clear last night with no stars visible save for dozens of UFOs floating above us. Run! Get the camera! Turns out we were having our first exposure to a century’s old tradition, sky lanterns. Apparently a 24-pack costs $57. Supposedly these mini-hot air balloons are made of bio-degradable materials (no wires) and fueled by burning wax. Dozens drifted slowly overhead. The deal is that you put your troubles in a sky lantern at the end of the day and send them somewhere else.
