Weekly Photo Challenge: Ephemeral

I love the fall season with the leaves signaling the end of the year. That’s my brother up ahead–we don’t see each other much–he’s in New Jersey and I’m in California. A short visit in the fall (location is the Great Swamp in NJ) works wonders–I took this shot in October 2014. Then, a jet takes off, the trees branches go bare and life continues.

    Lovely fall foliage. We don’t get much of that down here in SC, but then we don’t get much snow either so it’s a fair exchange!

    I think the more color in autumn, the harsher the winter, save for this year when California has been clobbered with a drought. Thanks for the comment.
